Project Stages

The project has five graded stages: Project Selection, two numbered checkpoints, an early in-person review, and a final experimentation-and-synthesis stage.

Shared conventions

Starting with Checkpoint 1, keep the shared GitHub repository current throughout the project. Public tests and experiment infrastructure are included in the project template; Gradescope may also use hidden tests that follow the documented interfaces.

Checkpoint reports are progress records rather than polished final reports. The Final Project report should synthesize the investigation rather than repeat the checkpoint reports.
