Welcome [10 min]

• Name tents; get to know other students at your table
• About the course, instructor, syllabus, calendar, etc.
• Two websites: this site (green), and shared site (purple)

Activity [40 min]

• Comparing Python and Java
• Overview of Weekly Reading

Your To-Do List

• Submit the Pre-Survey on Canvas if you haven’t already
• Click the Piazza link in Canvas to set up your account
• Read the Syllabus and check out the Week 1 reading
• Install Java and VS Code so you can do work in class
