This checklist contains the steps that need to be taken to setup
CS/ISAT 150 as a hybrid classroom using an "external" laptop and
camer/microphone.
This process only works with the laptop connected to the "front"
projector (i.e., the projector that is facing the narrow wall) because it
is the only one with a wired, external connection.
1.
Connect the "external" hardware.

Connect the camera and microphone to the
laptop (if necessary).
1.2.
Connect the laptop to the Internet.
1.3.
Connect the laptop to the projector (using either
an HDMI or VGA cable).
1.4.
Start the projector.

Go to the JMU WebEx portal.
2.1.
Start a WWW browser.
2.2.
Go to
jmu.webex.com.
2.3.
Click on Log In.
2.4.
Enter your "Username" and "Password" and click on
Log In.

Host a meeting.
3.1.
Click on Meeting Center and expand
"Host a Meeting" if necessary.
3.2.
Click on Meet Now. If the
Meeting Center Application is installed it will start
running. If not, you will be asked to install it. Since
you don't have the privileges to do so, click on
the X and then click on "Run a temporary
application".
4.
Make an audio connection.
4.1.
Click on ... under "Connect to Audio"
and click on "Test Computer Audio".
4.2.
In the "Microphone" field select the appropriate source.
4.3.
Click on OK.
5.
Make a video connection.
5.1.
In the "Participants" panel, click on the camera
icon.
5.2.
Click on OK.
6.
Share content.
6.1.
Click on ... (or More)
under "Share ____".
6.2.
Select either "Share My Screen" (which will
share every window)
or a particular application (which will share only the windows
associated with that application).
7.
Record the session.
7.1.
Click on Record.
7.2.
Confirm that the "Recording" message/icon
has appeared.
