1 Creating a PDF File in the CS Linux Lab

It is very easy to create a PDF file from a WWW page using the computers in the Linux lab.

To do so in Firefox:

1. Click on the "hamburger"/menu icon.
2. Pull down to Print.
3. Click on Page Setup.
4. Set "Format for:" to "Any Printer".
5. Click on Apply.
6. Click on Print.
7. Select the "General" tab..
8. Select "Print to File".
9. Set the "Output Format" to PDF.
10. Make any other changes that are appropriate.
11. Click on OK.

To do so in Chrome:

1. Click on File.
2. Pull down to Print.
3. Set "Detination" to "Save as PDF".
4. Make any other changes you that are appropriate.
5. Click on Save.

2 Creating a PDF File on Your Personal Computer

Your personal computer may not, by default, have the software that is needed to create a PDF file. However, free add-ons/plugins exist for most browsers. Search for "Save as PDF".
