Mission Statement: Transcriptz

Introduction

Transcriptz is our first attempt to address this need. SagaciousMedia will dot all of the i^s and cross all of the t^s, so that our customers won't have to.

Vision

Conceptually, Transcriptz is not the first product designed to help schools calculate things like grade point averages (GPAs) for individual students and summary statistics for things like graduating classes. However, it is unique. In particular, unlike other products in this category, Transcriptz will be able to adapt to changes in the grading systems.

Target Market

We intend to:

License a user-facing application to educational institutions of various kinds.
License a library to education institutions that want the ability to customize the user-facing application.
License a library to third-party developers who want to be able to develop user-facing applications of their own.

Constraints Definition

Transcriptz must initially run on MS-Windows, OS X, and Linux. Ultimately it must also run on mobile devices.

Business Requirements

The user-facing application must be usable by people with limited computer skills after only 5 minutes of on-line training (i.e., after reading a short description).
