People use calculators everyday (either dedicated devices or
calculator applications on mobile computing devices) to perform such
simple manipulations as adding and subtraction. Dates are much more
difficult to manipulate and yet people are forced to make these kinds
of calculations on their own.
Allow users to determine the number of days until a future date;

Target Market
We anticipate that DateAid will be a mass-market product
that will be distributed by manufacturers and suppliers of mobile computing
devices to make their products more attractive. Peripatetic Software
will sell DateAid to these manufacturers and suppliers.
Our preliminary research indicates that there are several desktop
date calculators but the mobile market has been ignored.
Constraints
DateAid must be developed in Java (J2ME) and must run on
devices that support CLDC 1.1 and MIDP 2.0.
Business Requirements
DateAid must be usable without training of any kind.
