Textual Description of a Property


The term property is used to refer to a generic residence.

Houses and apartments are two specific kinds of properties. When a residence can't be classified in another way, it will simply be referred to as a property.

A property has: a description, a street "number" (which may include letters and other characters), a street name, a city, a state, a Zip code (which may be 5 digits or 9 digits, with or without a dash), the number of bedrooms, the number of bathrooms, air conditioning or not, a school district, and a political jurisdiction. None of these attributes ever change.

All properties also have a property tax value associated with them. The default is 0 and they are always measured in whole dollars (without rounding).
